Facilitators: Roman Gonzalez, Adam Zeiner, Elyse Holladay, Chris Danaraj, Truman Boyes and Rebecca Murphey
Design systems are wonderful. They can scale thoughtful, researched, motivated design decision making in an organization, speed up development time, and create a cogent, reliable user experience. Yet, there is a lot of debate over what a “Design System” even is – What is it? Whats it good for? Is it just a style guide? Is it like Material design? This panel will address some foundational questions about design systems and talk specifically toward the trials and tribulations in building design systems in unique environments – corporate, agency, startup, etc. – and how you can get started building their own and reap the short and long term benefits.
