Join the City of Austin's Senior Advisor for Design and Technology, Ben Guhin, for a conversation about how user-centered research, design standards, and technology strategy can make services more useful, usable, and accessible for all of us.

Ben Guhin is the Senior Advisor for Design and Technology at the City of Austin, where he works with the Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Information Officer to introduce new practices for user-centered design and iterative development. He leads the City’s Design, Technology, and Innovation Fellows program, which brings designers, developers, and other specialists from the private sector to serve tours of duty in local government to improve a wide range of city services, including permitting, recycling, and digital infrastructure.

Previously, he served as a Senior Fellow for Design and Technology at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and in the Brooklyn office of the global design firm Huge, where he worked for travel, education, retail, and entertainment clients including JetBlue, Kaplan, Lowe’s, and HBO GO.
