Experience Austin through the lens of a pedestrian as you connect with both people and place, while learning more about the story of Austin through its unique sights and sounds.
With upwards of 157 new people choosing to call Austin "home" every day, we are experiencing an unprecedented amount of congestion throughout the city. The age of the single occupancy vehicle (SOV) in Austin is over; now is the time of multimodal and active transportation. Participants will experience Austin through the lens of a pedestrian as they connect with both people and place, while learning more about the story of Austin through its unique sights and sounds.

Walking, connecting with people, and promoting active living in Austin, Texas...Katie couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to do what she loves every single day! From walking the sidewalks around campus as a student at The University of Texas (a few years ago ;) ) to exploring the personality-rich neighborhoods of Austin today, Katie savors the ability to become better acquainted with this one-of-a-kind place she calls “Home.” Her dream is to see Austin be known not only for its live music, breakfast tacos, and Matthew McConaughey, but foremost for its walkability.
