Social Impact Forum

November 6, 2018 12pm - 1:30pm

Join Open Architecture Austin and AIA Austin DesignVoice at Austin Design Week’s inaugural Social Impact Design Forum—an interactive event of idea-sharing featuring design leaders spearheading community-focused and social impact driven work in Austin.

  • Capital Factory
  • 701 Brazos St

Design leaders will share brief and inspiring presentations highlighting their work in Austin and beyond. Following the presentations, each design leader will host small group discussions with the attendees, responding to questions, exchanging ideas, and ideating on community design challenges. Attendees are encouraged to rotate between the design leaders’ groups—engaging with the speakers and other attendees. We strongly believe it’s important to have a space for those passionate about or interested in learning more about social impact design to coalesce. All design should be social impact design—this event creates the platform for this message and a space for cross-disciplinary collaboration, learning, and sharing.
