Making Room for a Diverse Audience: Designing with Your Community's Voice at the Table

As a leader in the pre-health education community of Texas, the Texas Health Education Services has been tasked to seek solutions to complex issues related to the recruitment and outreach of Texas' health education institutions.

In the last few years, TXHES has grown to support thousands of aspiring health professionals and cultivated collaborative relationships with organizations that previously seemed unattainable - all for the benefit of the future of Texas healthcare. These collaborations were key to supporting the pre-health community during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Behind the design of more meaningful support resources and reinforce our brand identity, we've developed structures that bring our audience to the table to discuss opportunities that enhance our organization, involving diverse voices in the design process, and supporting our cheerleaders.

Attendees will learn about how to assess their design operations, explore opportunities for engaging with internal and external allies, audience members, and industry peers.
